Born in 1959 in Waregem, Belgium
Denis knows what action is, in a previous life he was a boxer. In the wake of Jackson Pollock, he is the artist, the action painter who loves the fight with materials. At the same time, he is always looking for real life, imbued with a genuine “joie de vivre”. As an authentic Burgundian – life artist too – he translates that joy and energy into expressive canvases and sculptures.
You have already seen his work in New York, Amsterdam, Moscow, Paris, Monaco and St Petersburg and in his own exhibition space. And now his creations also run through this book like a common thread.
